The Diocese of Kentucky's Peace and Justice Division will host a workshop on Aug. 14 to introduce "JustFaith," a social justice-oriented ministry formation program, to those who may be interested in offering the curriculum in their congregations.
The workshop is designed to encourage and empower participants to "become agents of God's compassion and healing in a wounded and broken world," according the JustFaith website.
A member of the JustFaith staff has been invited to explain the program and demonstrate some elements of a JustFaith group meeting during the three-hour workshop, which will be held at St. Matthews Church, 330 N. Hubbards Lane, Louisville, beginning at 9 a.m. (EDT).
If you are planning to attend or are thinking about attending, contact the Rev. Dr. Mary Abrams, the Peace and Justice Division chair, at meabrams@bellsouth.net. She needs to hear from you by Sunday, Aug. 8.
