Prayer and News Concerning tornado victims

Diocesan News & Publications

Brothers and Sisters,

Please join us in this prayer from the New Zealand Prayer Book for our own communities and our neighbors in this time following the recent tornados.

God of the present moment, God who in Jesus stills the storm and soothes the frantic heart; bring hope and courage to our brothers and sisters in Southern Indiana, Southern Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and East Tennessee as they wait in uncertainty. Bring hope that you will make them the equal of whatever lies ahead. Bing them courage to endure what cannot be avoided, for your will is health and wholeness; you are God, and we need you.

Information from surrounding diocese and communities on how to help affected areas is being received, and opportunities are being created for aid. We will make those opportunities public as soon as possible, so all may help in the capacity they are able.
