Loading...Bethany Spring, the Merton Institute Retreat Center, will celebrate 33 years of offering hospitality to its guests on Sunday, Aug. 15. The Center is located just one mile from the Abbey of Gethsemani in New Haven, Kentucky.
Individuals of all ages are invited. Plan on making ice cream sundaes while enjoying the music of Carlos Zavala, a celebrated cellist from the Cincinnati orchestra, and Bethany Spring resident director Patricia Campbell.
Guests are invited to sow wildflower seeds in our contemplation garden, tour the house and walk amid the quiet serenity of the grounds. Also, plan on entering a contest to win a retreat at Bethany Spring.
At 4 p.m. the Rev. Damien Thompson, a monk at the Abbey of Gethsemani, will bless the recently restored porch.
