Meet them at the stadium: Louisville center serving youth celebrates 45 years

St. George's Community Center's Celebration of Success and Lillian Yeager Community Service Awards will be Thusday, October 21, at the University of Louisville's Papa Johns Stadium.

Downloadable poster of the St George's eventThe event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. (EDT) in the stadium's the Brown & Williamson Club. Tickets cost $40. All are invited to come and enjoy live music by the Jerry Tolson Quartet with Robin Shaw, a silent auction, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a brief awards presentation.

Silent auction items include a seven-day vacation stay in a condo in Copper Mountain, Col.; autographed sports memorabilia from Rajon Rondo, CoachPapa John's Stadium Brown and Williamson Club Charlie Strong and others; tickets to U of L and UK games; and gift certificates to restaurants, hotels and other entertainment venues. Photography and other works of art done by youth at St. George's Community Center will also be showcased at the event.

The annual Lillian Yeager Community Service Awards will be presented during the event. The awards recognize citizens, community and business leaders and St. George's Community Center Alumni for their volunteer contributions and commitments to community service and leadership in the Louisville area.
