Loading...Calvary Episcopal Church has announced its 25th annual Lenten Recital and Lunch Series, which begins March 16 and runs for five consecutive Wednesdays.
Designed to fit within the lunch hour, the recitals begin at 12:05 p.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. (EST) followed immediately by lunch. Besides the music, one of the most important parts of the weekly program is the free-will offering to sustain Calvary's food program, aid Katrina flood victims, and more recently, assist Calvary's music fund.
The lineup of artists is as follows:
March 16: Sam Hodges, piano
March 23: Katherine Alberts, oboe
March 30: Margaret Dickinson, organ
April 6: Glenna Metcalfe, organ
April 13: Michael Tunnell, trumpet and Corno da caccia
Calvary is located in downtown Louisville at 821 S. Fourth Street.
