Loading...This year's Jewish Film Festival in Louisville will run Feb. 13-21, and organizers say the nine films selected by the film festival committee are sure to spark interest in all avid film lovers.
The films will provide audiences a means to experience and understand Jewish cultural complexity, richness and depth. They will explore historical and contemporary cultural issues, examine intercultural communication and build community awareness.
Most of the films will be shown in the afternoon or early evening at Village 8 Theaters, but the last one will be shown at the Frazier International Historical Museum in downtown Louisivlle. Tickets are $8.50 if purchased in advance. Tickets purchased at the theater are $10. Student rate tickets are also available for $6.00. Call 459-0660 for advance tickets.
Organizers are looking for patrons to help support the festival. The award winning, provocative and international films are an expensive undertaking, and in order to maintain a reasonable ticket price financial help is needed, they report.
