Jane Halliday, violin artist-in-residence, with Jack Ashworth and Wendy Doyle will give a concert at 5 p.m. (ET) Sunday, March 14 at Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral, 421 S. Second St., Louisville.

Halliday has a B.M. in violin performance from the University of Louisville and a B.A. in English from Smith College. She has worked with orchestras and ensembles throughout Kentucky, including the Louisville Bach Society, Choral Arts Society, Highland Chamber Players, Louisville Orchestra and Lexington Philharmonic. Since 1997, she has performed with Swing39, an accoustic trio performing hot club jazz, a style of music attributed to Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grapelli. She also sings with the early music group Evensong. Halliday will be assisted by Jack Ashworth (violin & keyboard), & Wendy Doyle (cello) performing works by Telemann, Gibbons, Corelli & Bartok.

The concert will be followed by Choral Evensong, a brief meditation of music and prayer in the Anglican tradition, which will be sung by the Canterbury and Cathedral Choirs.
