Is your church partnering with or serving a public school?

Diocesan News & Publications

Diocese of Kentucky Office November 03, 2010

The Rev. Libby Wade, the head of the diocese's delegation to the 2009 General Convention, reports the Episcopal Church is looking for information about any relationships/partnerships between Episcopal congregations and local public schools.

This is follow-up to General Convention Resolution B-025, which called for implementing programs "in support of public education through direct service, advocacy and/or teacher support." (We passed a similar resolution at our Diocesan Convention last February.)

Congregations are asked to supply the following information via e-mail to ResolutionB025@aol.com.

Name of Program
Diocese
Name of Contact Person
Address
Telephone #
Email Contact

One purpose of gathering the information is to discern ways we might support and resource each other in this ministry.

Wade said she also would be glad to receive the e-mails (libby_wade@yahoo.com) and then forward to the Episcopal Church e-mail address.
