Diocesan News & Publications

Christian educators, clergy, lay people, and volunteers will have an opportunity to receive Godly Play training at a weekend workshop hosted by Christ Episcopal Church in Bowling Green next month.

graphic of Godly Play logoThe Rev. Lois Howard and Mary Gardener White, Godly Play trainers, will offer Godly Play Foundation core training Feb. 10-12, 2011, leading the group through a teacher accreditation for the Montessori-based curriculum.

Participants will experience and learn Godly Play stories in a collegial, prayerful setting while deepening their understanding of children's spirituality. The group will explore the fundamental foundations of the Godly Play classroom, work on improving teaching skills, learn about classroom design, and, hopefully, leave spiritually refreshed.

The training is open to anyone who has a desire to deepen his/her relationship with God and to sharpen his/her teaching skills.  Clergy, laypersons, volunteers and parents are all encouraged to attend.  No prior experience is necessary.

Christ Church is located at 1215 State Street.
