All Saints and Good Shepherd in Wichita Falls welcome Bishop Gulick
Love was the theme of the appointed scripture lessons for May 17, and the theme of love and joy was a perfect fit when the new bishop made his first visitation to the displaced congregations of All Saints and Good Shepherd Episcopal churches in Wichita Falls.
The Rt. Rev. Ted Gulick journeyed to the northwestern outpost of his jurisdiction, where he not only baptized young Jesse Nichols Birnbaum but also received Thomas Scott Harwell from the Roman Catholic Church. The entire vestry of All Saints/Good Shepherd and Fr. Bruce Coggin, who as a frequent supply priest has helped to kindle survival skills within the spirit of the homeless congregation, came forward to present Tom for reception. The first 100 days
The Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth reorganized on Feb. 7. As we near the first 100 days since then, it is a good time to review events.
The diocese is healthy and growing. Since Bp. Gulick has been in office, fifty new Episcopalians have joined us, either through confirmation, reception or baptism.
