Registration is underway for the Daughters of the King Spring Assembly, which will be held April 15 and 16, 2011, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Anchorage. Presentations will be given by Bishop Terry Allen White and the Rev. Ellen Morrell, rector of St. Peter's Church in Louisville.
On Friday, April 15, the Daughters of the King's diocesan board officers and chapter presidents will have their annual dinner and meeting beginning at 5:45 p.m. (EDT) at the church.
The next day, April 16, the full assembly will meet at the church. Registration will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m. (EDT). After opening remarks and an address by Daughter's president Cathy Meister, Bishop White will present the morning program on "Model of Servant Ministry-Sister Emily Cooper" from 9:45 to noon. The afternoon program by the Rev. Morrell (topic to be announced) will begin at 1. It will be followed at 2 p.m. by a closing Eucharist.
