Loading...During Advent, Christ Church Cathedral in Louisville will offer Compline each Wednesday, beginning at 8:45 p.m. (EST). This week Compline will be sung by the cathedral choir.
In addition to an Anglican Chant by John Stainer, the choir will sing an anthem by Richard Burchard, a Louisville composer, who uses the ancient chant "Creator alme siderum" as the basis for this contemplative work. The service concludes with the choir and congregation singing Veni Emmanuel, O Come, O Come Emmanuel and the opportunity to remain for silent prayer.
The cathedral is located at 421 S. Second St. in downtown Louisville.
