Loading...Bishop J. Jon Bruno, Diocese of Los Angeles, on June 8 announced the appointment of Beth Bojarski of Campbellsville, Kentucky, as executive director of Camp Stevens.
Bojarski, who currently serves as the Director of Youth Programs for the Diocese of Kentucky, was nominated for the position after a rigorous national search. She will succeed Peter Bergstrom, who will retire on September 1st after 40 years of service as their executive director.
CampStevens,Julian,California, serves both the diocese ofLos AngelesandSan Diegowith year-round programs and camping experiences, from summer camp to backpacking trips, family camps, and even special interest sessions. Its conference center facilities host dozens of church and non-church groups each year.
“Beth brings outstanding gifts and skills toCampStevensand its ongoing excellence shepherded so faithfully by Peter Bergstrom,” Bruno said of the appointment. “I thank Bishop Mathes inSan Diegofor his collaboration in the search process.”
InKentucky, many are excited for her future and reflect fondly on the years spent working and worshiping with her.

White said after hearing the news. “Her creativity and boundless enthusiasm for sharing God's love will bear fruit for years to come in the lives of so many in our diocese and beyond.”
Bojarski is married to Rev. Mitch Bojarski ofChristChurchinElizabethtown. They share a son, Eliot, who is three years old.
"Mitch, Eliot and I are delighted to join theCampStevens, Diocese of Los Angeles and Diocese of San Diego families, and we look forward to getting to know each,” Bojarski said.
Bojarski will still lead camp at All Saints this summer and is looking forward to spending time with the youth, staff and volunteers. She will begin her responsibilities atCampSteventhis August.

The camp is named in honor of the Rt. Rev. W. Bertrand Stevens, second bishop ofLos Angeles. Founded, owned and operated by the Diocese of Los Angeles,CampStevensmaintains a collaborative ministry with the Diocese of San Diego, created out of theLos Angelesdiocese in 1974.
