As part of the Episcopal Church Foundation's (ECF) on-going effort to educate Episcopal leaders about planned giving, ECF is offering several webinars on the basics of planned giving. The first webinar will take place Wednesday, April 13.
"Setting Up a Planned Giving Program for Your Parish" takes the mystery out of planned giving. Learn how planned giving differs from annual stewardship and capital campaigns, and how your parish can build endowment through wills and life income gifts. You will learn about the different types of planned gifts, as well as about the importance of parish vision, protecting and growing your endowment, and how to invite others to remember your parish through estate and financial planning. You will leave the webinar with a plan of action.
This webinar is being offered at no cost and is available to lay and clergy leaders who want to implement or revitalize a planned giving program. All you need to participate is a computer (PC or Mac) with an internet connection and telephone. Pre-registration is required. The remaining webinars being offered are on the following dates:
- April 13, 2011, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. (Eastern)
- July 20, 2011, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. (Eastern)
- October 19, 2011, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. (Eastern)
