Loading...Applications are now being taken for the Episcopal Church Foundation's Fellowship Partners Program. The application deadline is March 15, 2011.
The Episcopal Church Foundation awards fellowships for both academic and transformational ministries and enables fellows to share their knowledge, experience and best practices with the wider Church in practical ways. The program places emphasis on partnerships that will have an important impact in their local communities and beyond. Both lay and clergy are invited to apply.
New awards will range up to $15,000 and are renewable for an additional two years. New fellows will be announced in May 2011.
In 2010, ECF awarded fellowships to three individuals: Liza Anderson, Rosa Lindahl Mallow and Altagracia Perez. Anderson is a doctoral student at Yale University, focusing on the early and medieval history of Christianity in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Mallow is leading a project entitled "Identity, Voice and Witness: Ministry in a Post Parish Culture," which aims to refocus parishes on transformational ministry rather than simply struggling to stay open. Perez is a student in the Ph.D. program at Claremont School of Theology. Her field is practical theology with an emphasis in Christian education. She is interested in developing resources to support work in urban congregations.
ECF has named 191 Fellows since the inception of the program in 1964. ECF Fellows are engaged in a wide range of exciting ministries throughout the Episcopal Church.
