Loading...As part of its outreach efforts to the community and its commitment to all of God's creatures, the Church of the Advent, located at 901 Baxter Avenue in Louisville, will be opening an Animal Food Bank on the fourth
Saturday in May.
The Animal Food Bank will help low-income families and individuals struggling to feed themselves keep caring for their animal companions. The goal is to keep pets and their caretakers together, rather than the owners being forced to abandon or relinquish their beloved pets.
The Animal Food Bank will be open on the fourth Saturday of each month, beginning May 23. It relies on donations from Advent parishioners, local pet supply stores and individuals in the community who might wish to support this effort.
Dog food, cat food and cat litter will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Church of the
Advent is located in front of the main entrance to Cave Hill Cemetery at the corner of Bardstown Road and Baxter.
