Trustees and Council

The Diocese of Kentucky is called to engage the world as a witness to Christ through worship, study, fellowship, evangelism, social justice and service.

The members of the diocesan Trustees and Council manage the properties and business affairs of the diocese, work with the bishop to implement all mandates of the church, and join with others to unify, inspire and empower all people of the diocese.  In so doing they manage the temporal affairs of the diocese, and plan and implement the mission of the church in the diocese between diocesan conventions.  The Trustees and Council consists of the bishop, and clergy and lay persons elected by the diocesan convention in accordance with the diocesan canons.  The Trustees and Council are subject to the authority of diocesan convention (Canon 17).
